The process went quite smoothly overall and we actually got an upgrade on our car, which was nice, because the other one was in service. We had to wait a while for the delivery which was a little bit annoying and also had to debate over the right amount we had left to pay. We paid in LEK and they took a conversion rate of 1:1 to Euro, which is a bit of a ripoff to be honest.
The drop off went easy though and we got our deposit back with no problem.
The communication was good and timely, absolutely no problems with the car or the payments/deposits. Thanks!
Very bad experience. When we booked the car, we paid a deposit of €150, leaving a balance owing to the driver on arrival of €764.50. The driver insisted we also had to pay again the €150 and would not give us the car until we did. He stated the €150 we paid online would be refunded once we returned the car, which never happened. The car had no spare tyre, was 7000km overdue for a service, had less than half a tank of fuel when we were given it, a warning light was showing rear left tyre was low on pressure and the headlights didn't work.

Clear instructions for pick up and drop off, Elton was very helpful. I had booked a manual drive but we were given an automatic which was fine for me but may have been an issue for others. Also the car worked fine but there was some external damage (scratches and petrol cap cover missing) and the internal trim was damaged

We rented a WV Golf 7 vehicle with automatic gearbox. The takeover took place on a busy street in front of the hotel, so quickly. From the first moment, the message "Oil service now" appeared at every start, but the owner claimed that the service had taken place and the mechanic had just forgotten to clear the warning. After about 2 hours of driving, the warning "Error: Gearbox" appeared, but the owner claimed that it was caused by bad fuel and that the vehicle was fine. This warning appeared every day, sometimes once, sometimes 4 times in 5 minutes, which made us very nervous all the time. The highlight was when our left front tire burst while driving on the highway. The owner arranged a service, where, after dismantling, they found that the tire had two cracks about 3 cm long and needed to be replaced. It was also obvious that the tire was very badly worn, it had scratches on the inside and it was obvious that it was heavily swollen. We have found that the Full insuerance we paid for does not cover damage to the windshield and tires. The owner refused to pay for the repair, claiming that we had to drive into the hole, which was not true. It was because of the condition of the roads that we drove slowly and carefully. It cost us €70, but as a result, we were glad that nothing serious happened. After this experience, I have to say that I don't do it with Rent From Locals anymore.
Nous sommes ravis de notre location ! Xhenie répondait toujours très rapidement à nos demandes. Nous avons pu récupérer la voiture au parking dépose minute devant l'aéroport sans payer le parking + nous avons rendu la voiture en centre ville de Tirana. Là encore c'était très fluide et tout s'est bien passé. Je recommande sans hésitation !
