We were set up with a car with a cracked windscreen and no spare tyre. We got scraped whist stationary on the road. We reported the incident and the police decided it was 50/50 fault after calls between rental company and incident causer. We asked for an accident number/ report twice and the police, after consulting the rental comapny told us to go. We also had no further guidance from the rental Co.
Unfortunately on the same day we had a puncture that required a new tyre, which we paid €60 for. Had we had a spare wheel this would have made our journey much easier.
On arriving at the airport to return the car a different staff member from the rental company told us they were keeping the €100 deposit for the 50/50 accident damage without any evidence of repair cost. He also claimed he needed an additional €50 in cash to go to ksamil to collect a police report that we hadn't collected, which nobody told us we needed to collect.
The rental company profusely tried to enforced atm cash withdrawal outside of the airport which we didn't feel comfortable with, so we went inside the airport and explained our stance that we weren't at fault and being exploited.
To conclude we didn't pay the €50 and the guy left.
