For the Car Owner:
- Registration: Sign up on rentfromlocals.al. Click on "register" in the menu.
- Email Confirmation: Check your inbox (and Spam folder) for our automatic email to confirm your address.
- List Your Car: Go to "New listing", choose the car category, fill out the required fields, and add plenty of photos. Ensure the location field has the exact address.
- Publish and Wait: Once your car is listed, wait for rental requests via email and Whatsapp (linked to your profile).
- Respond Promptly: Approve or reject requests within 24 hours. Quick responses are appreciated!
- Coordinate Delivery: Communicate with the renter to arrange car handover.
- Check and Capture: Inspect the car with the renter and upload photos to your reserved area on the website.
- Receive Payment: Get paid directly by the renter.
- Car Return: Arrange the car’s return, check its condition, upload return photos, and provide a rating for the renter.
For the Renter:
- Search and Select: Find the perfect car by entering your pick-up and drop-off details. Then follow the reservation process.
- Registration and Payment: You'll need to register during reservation. Pay the service fee by card (processed securely by Stripe). The car rental fee is paid in cash to the provider upon car delivery.
- Reservation Confirmation: The service fee is charged only after the owner confirms your booking.
- Cancellation and Refund: Cancel within the specified deadline to get a full refund of the service fee.
- Coordinate Pickup: Use our messaging feature to agree on the pickup location and time.
- Payment and Inspection: Pay the provider in cash, inspect the car together, and upload pictures to the website.
- Return and Review: After your rental period, return the car, perform a final inspection, upload return photos, and rate the provider.
